Use of kitchen waste for biogas production

Overview

Project was initiated by the ICT section to integrate students' activity with one of the most burning issue of the developing countries i. e. use of Supplementary fuel source rather than the conventional source. This could be cheap and available as well as environment friendly.

Steps  involve
  •        Collection of kitchen waste.
  •       Sorting of waste material suitable for production of bio gas.
  •      Grinding and Pouring of the material in containers.
  • Collection of gas into rubber tube.Use of collected gas as kitchen fuel to coo  Remaining waste of bio gas to be used as organic fertilizer.

Humans content are directly proportional to energy use . In the present scenario voices of climate change and global rising from every continent of the world. Pakistan meets its 80% energy demand from import. Due to rise of population and prices per ca pita availability decreasing day by day. So in present scenario, struggle to safe the environment as well as harvest the resource on sustainable basis is key to success. Approximately more than 80% Pakistani cook their food at homes. So we can partially fulfill the energy demand by using kitchen waste to bio gas and can generate hygienic conditions for humans.

 Objectives

  • To develop the sustainable system (Practical experiment along with theoretical knowledge in classroom).
  • To determine facts & figures to reduce the energy crises in country and to implicate by the students.
  • To develop the technical resource as well as sustainable system (bio gas plant).
